Baby Update

I hope everyone had a great Christmas with their family. Katie was sick, so Mondo and I took turns staying home with her, depending on whose family it was.

The girls and I went to the babies Dr. Appointment today. I am finally gaining. I gained 1.5 lbs this month. Still under my start weight by about 4-5 lbs. Everything looks good. We got to hear the babies heart beat. The girls thought the was neat. The heart beat was nice and strong. Between 159-162 beat per minute. They gave me the referral paperwork to have my ultra sound once I am 18 weeks. So before we left the parking lot I had already scheduled my ultra sound appointment. Can you tell were excited to see if we are having a brother or sister :). Well, we will find out on 01/14/08. Unfortunately, Mondo can't get the time off work. We had the same issue with Katie. I guess as long as he is there for the big day, that is what is important. Of course I will let everyone know once we do. Mondo is keeping his fingers crossed for a boy, but says he figures it will be a girl, and will faint of shock if it turns out to be a boy. I am just hoping for healthy.

We have also finally figured out the names. After many discussions of, "No, not that name." All our children have a grandparents middle name as their middle name. So we wanted to keep the tradition. If it is a girl it will be "Amber Marie Villanueva" and a boy will be " Sean Thomas Villanueva." Marie is my grandmothers middle name who just passed and Thomas is my dad's first name.

Merry Christmas

Wishing you and your family a very Merry Christmas. Sometimes with all the rushing around it is easy for us to forget what Christmas is really about. That God loved us so much that he sent us his son Jesus. Our wish would be for everyone to remember and focus on the true meaning of Christmas and that God will bless your life over the next year.

We'll Miss You Grandma Sisley

Last week my grandmother passed away. She was 85 years old. Allison and I flew back with my dad and Alexus for the funeral. IT WAS COLD. When we left Phoenix it was in the 70's and when we landed in Omaha, NE it was in the 20's. The lowest it got was 4 degrees. Did you know at 4 degrees you can see your breath inside the car too. BURRRR

The funeral was very nice. She was dressed in all pink, which was her favorite color. After the funeral we went to my Great Aunt Wanda's and the kids had a snow fight. One of the many they had while we were there. The snow was nice until they were finished and then would get upset that they were all wet. Yes, if you lay in the snow to make a snow angel and don't have a snow suit on you will get wet. :) As soon as they warmed up back out they would go. Allison compared the weather to sitting in a freezer. I would have to agree.

The last day we were there we went to my uncle Don's house and we all went sledding. My dad learned he is not 18 years old anymore and should not run and belly flop on to the sled. He ended up bruising his rib.

Overall we had a good trip. I am hoping sometime we will be able to meet up with the family on better terms. I now know what COLD is.

Grandma, we will all miss you. I will also miss your Chicken Noodle soup that only you knew how to make.
